Reference

Use bands intelligently.

Band Setup & Safety Standard
  • Inspect the band, handles, seams and anchor before every session.
  • Test any fixed anchor with light tension before loading it. If the anchor is uncertain, use body- or foot-anchored options instead.
  • Keep the recoil path away from the face and eyes and release tension slowly.
  • Use a secure grip or foot capture. Stop if the band slips, the anchor moves, or control is lost.
  • Pain, sudden instability, or damaged equipment is a reason to stop or modify—not push through.
BPF Band Progression Ladder
  • Keep technique and range controlled first.
  • Progress reps or time inside the prescribed range while keeping the target RIR/RPE.
  • Then increase band elongation, leverage, range, tempo or band tension in small steps.
  • Band color is not a universal poundage. Do not compare colors across brands as if they were standardized weights.
  • When a setup becomes awkward or unsafe, choose a better band or movement rather than forcing more tension.
Meet Your Coaches
Choose from 8 different coaches in the Workout Player: Hope, Jessica, Mira, Sarah, Christopher, Liam, Benjamin and Andrew. Each has a distinct coaching style with clear, confident guidance. Band-specific setup, technique and safety coverage continues to use the validated resistance-band coaching bank, with Manual-First safety rules preserved where required.
Important

General fitness guidance.

Do not use a normal workout route when the setup or your body says stop.

The Band Authority hub organizes fitness choices and exercise guidance. It does not diagnose injury or provide medical clearance. Use the app’s existing safety/help pathways when symptoms or circumstances fall outside normal training.
