Camera
heart rate

Rest your fingertip lightly over the rear camera lens. The app reads the tiny colour changes in your fingertip with each pulse (photoplethysmography) to estimate beats per minute. Smartphone fingertip PPG tracks ECG heart rate closely in validation studies — but this is a fitness signal, not a medical monitor.

Educational fitness & function estimate only. The Fitness Age Blueprint is a training tracker. It is not a medical test and does not measure biological age, longevity, mortality risk, or disease. Sensor readouts are training signals, not diagnostics. Stop any test that causes chest pain, dizziness, faintness, palpitations, breathlessness, or pain, and speak with a clinician about any concern before starting.

What are we measuring?

Sit still and relaxed for a minute first, then measure. Lower resting heart rate broadly reflects better conditioning.

Sensor reading

Tap start, allow the camera, then cover the lens with your fingertip.

Manual entry

No camera access, or prefer to count? Take your pulse at the wrist or neck for 15 seconds, count the beats, and enter it — the app multiplies by four. Or type a reading from a chest strap or watch.
