Sleep-Breathing Concern Reflection

Use this page to organize sleep-breathing observations you may want to discuss with a clinician. It does not calculate a risk level, provide medical clearance, or diagnose a sleep disorder.

If safety is an issue, do not wait on this reflection

Do not drive when dangerously sleepy. Repeated witnessed breathing pauses, waking gasping or choking, chest pain, fainting, or another urgent or concerning change belongs with prompt medical attention rather than an app check-in.

About this tool. This is a BPF educational reflection, not STOP-Bang, the Epworth Sleepiness Scale, or another validated screening questionnaire. It does not add up demographic or symptom factors and it does not produce a low/medium/high result. A clinician may use validated tools and sleep testing when appropriate.

Night-time observations

Select only what you have actually noticed or what a bed partner has reported.

Daytime impact

These observations can be useful context in a conversation about sleep.

This educational reflection does not calculate obstructive-sleep-apnea risk and cannot rule a sleep disorder in or out. Persistent or concerning sleep symptoms deserve discussion with an appropriate clinician. Diagnosis and treatment decisions stay with qualified clinical care. © 2026 Ken Hoyer / Body Plus Fitness.
