Daily lever — The Metabolic Reset

Post-Meal Walk

In controlled studies, light walking after eating has reduced the size of the after-meal glucose rise. Start when practical soon after eating — often within about 10–30 minutes. Even 2 minutes is better than sitting; 10–15 minutes is a good target. Keep it easy: a comfortable, conversational pace. This is an addition to your general activity, not a replacement for it.

Easy, comfortable pace — you could hold a conversation.

Best timed right after a meal. If you can only fit one walk a day, put it after your largest meal.

Gentle by design. This is easy movement, not a workout target. If you take glucose-lowering medication, adding walks can affect your levels — talk with your clinician first. Stop and rest if you feel dizzy, shaky, breathless, or unwell.
